The best time for newborn photography is within the first month, ideally between 5-15 days old. After two weeks, babies are a little harder to settle and things like colic and baby acne start to flare up. Once your baby is born, you can contact me and we will arrange a suitable time and day for your session. If your little one has already arrived, don’t worry, you’re not too late! Please contact me as soon as possible and I can try to schedule you in. Slots are very limited and fill early. Booking in advance will ensure your preferred slot. A 50% non-refundable session fee and signed contract are required to hold your date and time.
There are three types of Newborn Sessions offered: Newborn and Family Studio sessions , In-home Lifestyle sessions and Newborn Conceptualized portraits at your home. Studio sessions include Professional Portrait Studio with backdrops, professional lighting, props, and newborn outfits. Lifestyle sessions are more of a documentary style, in the comfort of your home, with natural light and no props. Both types of sessions include parent’s and sibling’s portraits along with solo images of your newborn.
Newborn and Family Studio sessions are approx 4 hours in the studio with breaks in between to feed and cuddle the baby. I don’t put a time limit on your session to ensure adequate time to feed, change & make your baby comfortable. Your newborn session includes individual newborn poses, family portraits, sibling portraits, as well as separate poses with parents.
I provide everything needed for your newborn session. I have a large collection of props to choose from. There is a comfortable sitting area for families that includes TV, and Wifi. Anusha Ramkaran will be capturing your portraits, unless stated as team member shooting. This is if for any reason Anusha is unwell or unable to shoot due to unavoidable situations.

We can collaboratively decide a venue to do your session. Indoors at your home, at our/a studio is the best for a Newborn. Our Studio is Located in BTM 2nd Stage, Bangalore.
We take care of all clothing, wraps/swaddles for newborns, to ensure they fit well and coordinate with the rest of our props. Parents can wear their own outfits for the shoot.
Ideally, light and solid coloured outfits look best, for everyone. Whites, creams, beige, peach, light blue, yellow etc look really good. Avoid printed clothing as much as possible to avoid taking the attention away from your expressions.
Yes, we are flexible with time as we are working with a Newborn. Ideally, we time our shoots to ensure this does not happen. We shoot ONLY after the newborn’s routine massage, bath and feed for the reason that they get into deep sleep post this routine. If, in a situation, the Newborn doesn’t cooperate, we will go with the pace of the baby.
We take up to 30 days for the delivery of images. If, in case, you wish to get the images on priority, we do have a ‘Quick delivery’ option at an additional charge. To explain, we are covering a lot of shoots per month, hence I really require the time to do justice to the images and deliver a good set to you in 30 days.
Yes, we do provide various props for a Newborn shoot. We can provide you with reference albums so you have an idea of what we have.
A three weeks notice is good enough if you are flexible about weekdays. But if you are looking for a specific weekends/ a specific date, kindly inform us at the earliest possible, as some dates and weekends get booked out a month or two in advance.
Yes! All our sessions include family portraits that include the Mother, Father and siblings (if any).
Yes, as are we! We can assure you that all our props, fabrics, wraps are hygienic and well maintained. I’m a newborn-safety trained photographer and I generally walk you through each set-up before I execute it to ensure you approve of the same. I’m happy to work with you to do what makes you and the baby comfortable. No pose is forced upon the baby and we work with the baby’s rhythm for the most part
